A SUCCESSFUL FLEA TREATMENT OF HORRENDOUS INFESTATION

A customer in Axminster was hoping to move back into his property after it had been let out for a period. The tenant had left the house with a horrendous infestation, but we managed to provide a successful flea treatment.

The BPCA have stated: "As flea eggs can survive dormant for long periods of time, sometimes up to 18 months, it’s possible that the infestation was a problem before you even moved into your current home!" That was certainly the case in this situation.

A combination of insecticide and non-toxic heat shock treatment, along with heat lamp flea traps meant we could work through the infestation and finally there were none.

Our customer kindly sent a reply to a follow up query: "We have been flea free for 4 weeks now, I'm confident it has been resolved. Thank you so much for all of your help, cannot fault the service in any way, you have been absolutely 10/10."

Of course it helped that the source of the infestation, a dog, was no longer present. The BPCA have explained that "the females must first take a ‘blood meal’ from an infested animal, after which they lay their eggs." So in the absence of an infested animal, the flea life cycle will eventually end and that was the case in this Axminster property.
